Can NI’s paywalls succeed?

without comments

BBC Radio Four’s Media Show hosted a debate between The Sunday Times John Witherow and The Guardian’s Alan Rusbridger that can be heard here.  The main subject is the viability of News International’s imminent erection of paywalls around The Times and Sunday Times content.    They provide some interesting contextualisaiton to the debate – it costs the ST £500,000 to keep a reporter in Washington, The Times £1m to maintain a Baghdad correspondent – although there are no real revelations.
