The West Highland Free Press became the first employee-owned newspaper in the UK recently - http://www.whfp.com/About/ABOUT-THE-WEST-HIGHLAND-FREE-PRESS.html
It doesn't called itself a co-operative but is a similar model.

I think there's plenty of new media initiatives out there that could benefit from being 'introduced', as it were, to the Co-op model when they start thinking about long-term business plans. For one thing, it could strengthen bonds between producers and readers, which is the key relationship in any new initiative in the media. Various NUJ people are in touch with Co-ops UK people and are working on how the Co-op idea could be applied to the nuts and bolts of media production.
