Journalists launch software for hyperlocals

without comments

A software package that automates the production of hyperlocal news sites has been launched by three journalists from the north east of England.  SuperLocalSites is a WordPress-derived platform that promises to provide a distinctive news-style delivery – allowing anyone wanting to launch a hyper local site to concentrate on the news gathering.

It is the brainchild of Dave Pike, Brian Clough and Dave Foster who developed the software to run their sites euVue.co.uk and euvuechester-le-street.co.uk.  Describing the product as a ‘cut and paste’ publishing solution for freelance writers and journalists, the software both manages the content and automates the placement of advertising.  There is also a full support package and video training library.

The package costs £997 and then a monthly rental of £97.
